Humanities College Student Council

Description:

The BYU Humanities College Student Council seeks to help humanities students to understand, articulate, and apply the value of a BYU Humanities College degree. Recognizing that a Humanities College degree is strengthened by valuable practical experience, service, networking, and internships, the Student Council’s primary goal is to provide awareness, encouragement, and opportunities for all students to successfully add the “+” to their “Humanities+” education.

Brigham Young Univeristy Italian Club

Description:The Brigham Young University Chinese Club seeks to serve the interests of Brigham Young University's non-native Chinese-speaking community, as well as serve as the Department of Asian and Near Eastern Languages' official Chinese academic organization. BYUCC consists of four committees that plan and organize activities, academic or otherwise. These committees are the Missionary Committee, Career Committee, Language and Culture Committee, and the Service Committee. Membership Dues: $10 per year

American Sign Language Club

Description:The purpose of the BYU ASL Club is a for ASL students to practice their sign language, learn ASL grammar, and expound their vocabulary. It gives students opportunities to have fun and meet new people while learning a new language. Our club offers a wide variety of activities, which include: vocabulary games, fluency games, attending Deaf studies, movies, documentaries and doing a Deaf history scavenger hunt. In the past we have had deaf panels, where the students get to ask deaf students questions about sign language; we have learned church signs in the weeks preceding the churches General Conference. This year we hope to interact with UVU’s ASL Club. Currently, we are not involved with any national organizations. Membership Dues: $5-10 per year
